Glimpse of the Ghost-Rolls-Royce

The chief designer for Rolls-Royce, Ian Cameron, compares his company’s Ghost, whose concept predecessor the 200EX to a business suit next to the tuxedo of the Phantom. “The Phantom might be too much of a statement for some,” Mr. Cameron said when the 200EX came out.
But the smaller car, whose exterior is credited to the designer Andreas Thurner, under Mr. Cameron’s direction, preserves the marque’s classic 2:1 roof-to-wheel height ratio that gives the cars their sense of scale or, as Rolls-Royce likes to put it, of “occasion.”
The Ghost was unveiled at the Frankfurt auto show on Sept. 15, but was shown for the first time in the United States briefly, over the weekend, at the St. Michaels Concours d’Élégance in Maryland, of which Rolls-Royce was the primary sponsor, and where many classic Rolls-Royces were on display.
