A survey says Americans are crazy over electronic gadgets

A study out this week from Forrester Research found 50 percent of all American adults are gamers, 63 percent have a broadband connection, and 75 percent have a cell phone and personal computer in the home.
Americans bought 10 million high definition television sets last year, in part because of the government mandated switch to digital television, said salespeople at Ed Kellum and Sons in one electronic salesman.Families are a driving force behind the widespread adoption of technology.

Not only are their kids playing with home gaming consoles; parents are likely to purchase MP3 players, digital cameras and camcorders to record their family memories.
